Find freedom in who you are
I have spent more than 25 years moving between two worlds that most people keep separate: corporate leadership and health care management on one side, and contemplative and wisdom traditions on the other. Communication, systems, program design with meditation, compassion training, systemic constellations, somatic work. Be Rooted exists because I stopped treating those as two different lives.
I hold an MA in Communication and am a trained compassion facilitator at Stanford University’s CCARE Institute, where I later became faculty and mentor in their programs. I work as program designer and faculty in senior leadership programs at THNK School for Creative Leadership and always on the same underlying question: what does it take for a person, and a culture, to lead from something steadier than fear?
My approach is systemic, somatic, and holistic. I draw on Eastern and Western wisdom traditions, on compassion research, and on the systemic view that leaders don’t just lead individuals — they lead, and are shaped by, the whole system around them. That’s not an abstraction for me; I was raised internationally, have lived across Southeast Asia, California, and Europe, and the through-line in all of it has been the same question, asked in every culture and every language I’ve worked in: am I living in integrity with what I actually know to be true?
Where this is going now
For most of Be Rooted’s life, my work has centred on helping people find calm and safety — root and heart. What’s changed because of my own experiences is this: in seasons where our ground is genuinely unsettled, be it personal, work, direction, or what comes next, I have found that the calm holds anyway. Not because nothing is wrong, but because I’ve spent years building a different kind of root system, one that doesn’t depend on the surface being stable.
Be Rooted was always meant to teach people how to stand on steadier ground. I am now able to teach the fuller version of that — because I have done it myself, in real time, and it’s working.
From finding root to finding Clarity
To find root as an individual, team or organisation requires an understanding of where you came from, where you are and where you are going. To look at these three movements with the qualities of empathy and kindness will build resilience from the inside out, allowing you to give a compassionate response to life.
You will learn about living from a place of Heart, which is at the root of everything, and be a force for good in the world. This is what the world needs most; kindness, gentleness, empathy and compassion, the qualities of the heart.
To change from the inside out, start your focus and choice here and connect with me.
As an entrepreneur in leadership, my focus is on developing what are often referred to as ‘soft skills’ and what I call the ‘hard skills’; skills such as (self)compassion, (self)awareness, kindness and empathy. By connecting to yourself first, you become more aware, more resilient and start to live with a growth mindset. My approach is open and intuitive, investigating the ‘real’ questions clients have. Organisations, teams as well as individuals.
I combine evidence-based academic practices with ancient wisdom traditions and contemplative work. This is the foundation of my work. All my ventures revolve around bringing the qualities of compassion, empathy and kindness into the world; cultivating a life of joy by creating compassionate habits of mind.

My definition of success is:
How safe does someone feel in my presence?
My approach allows for an introspective connection to yourself and others. This give clarity and reduces stress. I am focused on helping you build sustainable skills to support your own personal well-being, integrating mind, heart, body and soulful practices to help you take next steps toward a fulfilling life.
When you feel better, you will have room for professional and personal growth. I use both leadership models as well as compassion and mindful practices to help you find that success, to finding your calm.
As an ambassador at Stanford University’s CCARE, we commit to having an open and non-judgmental attitude. We then meet life with a quality of kindness, love, forgiveness and joy.
