Creating a safe space where we Step Gracefully into the 5 invitations

Barbara Piper

A space created for you to find silence in yourself and lets you experience the benefits of gentleness and kindness in your day-to-day life.

The framework of all programs at Be Rooted are rooted in academic research and reserach based models of compassion, mindfulness and empathy. We work with the Stanford University’s CCARE framework of compassion and altruism research and education and have transformed these models into programs focused on Personal Wellbeing, Self-Care and interactions in workplace environments.

During our programs, we build a calm space where we learn about how we can better deal with the stresses of life and better respond to life. To a world that needs personal leadership for more kindness and compassion.

If you are interested to bring this kind of leadership to the forefront of your life or to that of others: this is the place to be.

Transform yourself

An important question I learned to ask myself is: Am I living in integrity with my hearts’ intention? And then I asked myself how I could break down the conditioning that bounds me to past patterns and habits and transform it in a way of being that helps people awaken to deeper expressions of themselves, to an authentic way of life?

I’m deeply committed to awakening the compassionate leader that lives in all of us. We’re all being invited to align with what is true for us and from here we can truly serve the world with our work.

Programs

Taking good care of yourself is essential to meeting the challenges of a busy work and life and to deal with times of stress. The experiential courses are designed to cultivate contemplative practices and self-compassion individually and in community.

Our programs are designed in such a way that in each coaching session, workshop and training you drop-into a safe space. A place to learn about yourself, listen to your hearts’ desire, explore avenues and experiment with new behaviour.

As we model behaviors of empathy and kindness to ourselves and others, we learn to deal and prevent (further) stress and build resilience. Practicing meditation together in an open and safe space normalizes the practice and motivates acts of self-care and kindness. By addressing work-life balance through meditation and self-compassionate practices, we create systemic change.

My silent retreats and programs are essentially designed around five invitations. To bring focus internally first; we learn to practice holding attention in the moment. Our minds become silent, and we start feeling what is really going on for us. Then we will move towards discussing what is going on for us with others. This course will help you understand what goes on in your body, mind and emotions as well as give you a framework to deal with what comes up and share this with others.
