‘Spend time contemplating who you want to be. The mere process of contemplating who you want to be, begins to change your brain’

The power of working in a group

Working with a group can be a powerful experience. The dynamics are different to 1-on1 work in the sense that there is more time to process new awareness and the energy of the group plays a part in the process. Multiple days and people gives room to deeper experiential work.

In my programs, you will be encouraged to reflect, notice, and work in the moment. Combining both academic teaching and experiential practices will help you apply what you learned cognitively. You will be invited express, practice and focus on yourself in the container of the larger group.

Personal wellbeing & self-care

A 12 week corporate program geared towards academic learning, contemplative practice and living from a place of heart.

Consistent and powerful learning

Taking good care of yourself is essential to meeting the challenges of a busy work-life and to deal with times of overwhelm and stress. This 12-week experiential course is designed to cultivate wellbeing practices & self-compassion in community.

We will practice the art of presence, of (deep) listening and a non-judgemental attitude. Actively practicing these skills will create more wellbeing and prevent stress and it enhances our capacity to recover and find balance more quickly.

Cultivating the heart

Calm, Compassion and Resilience

Cultivating a foundational contemplative practice and finding root in your heart through Presence and Awareness is at the core of Compassion Training: Cultivating the Heart.

Research points to a correlation between compassion and personal well-being and the benefits of learning how to cultivate and anchor attention in the body and in our heart. This is about learning how to stay present in the moment, as well as having a vision of how to move forward into the future. And it requires a rebalancing of our overdeveloped habit of ‘doing’ with one of ‘being.’

In this 8-week course, we will work with contemplative practices for at least 20 minutes in each class session. When we cultivate greater awareness and develop the skills to self-regulate our emotions, we learn how to connect to ourselves first. As we become more aware of ‘being’ present with ourselves, in this way, we gradually begin to recognize and experience a more fully integrated sense of connection with our heart’s deeper intentions and core values.

Compassion Training: Cultivating the Heart is designed to help you develop the skills of (self)compassion, (self)awareness, reflection, meditation and more, skills that are anchored in evidence-based practices. As an entry point to cultivating a more compassionate, resilient, and authentic life, the course incorporates the “Alphabet of the Heart”, a mnemonic created by James R. Doty MD, Founder & Director of the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education, CCARE at Stanford University School of Medicine.

Silent retreats

Silence, Attention and (Self) Compassion

A full Day of Self-Compassion
A deep dive into silence & attention
A Mindful Break

The program is designed to give yourself a full day away from your daily routine & screen, in the midst of green. The contemplative nature of the day allows for exercises with silence, individual time for reflection and time to share experiences so you can bring it back (in)to your daily life. The program facilitates different levels of experience.

We will practice self-compassion and silence with exercises that find their root in academic research as well as in Eastern wisdom traditions; Systemic, Shamanic and Buddhist. Silence heals and will support you to build resilience from the inside out.

A weekly online or live Lunch and Learn for your team:

Intimate and Powerful Learning

Working on cultivating compassion for yourself and others in a group environment creates intimate and powerful learning.

We practice the art of Presence, of Deep Listening and awakening a Non-Judgemental Attitude as well as learn how to work with the combination of cognitive learning with contemplation.

In 2020 we launched the first Lunch & Learn on Compassion.

A Mindful Break in the middle of your week

An introductory course to compassion, designed to cultivate qualities of the heart, of compassion and kindness. To connect these qualities to your own Personal Leadership. Together we explore how a mindful and compassionate response can affect yourself and your environment. Compassion is like a muscle, the more we practice the more it becomes part of who we are and becomes an active force in our lives

Become more respons-able: Responding from the Inside Out

Mindful meditation helps us make the move from the outside-in to a solid base response from the inside-out. To build resilience on the inside so we can respond appropriately to what is going on outside of us. When we feel more control over our lives, it builds resilience. This is at the Heart of my work.
